John-Luke Roberts, also known as Luke Roberts (born 1985, Newcastle upon Tyne), is a British comedy writer and performer noted for his BBC 7 radio sketch comedy series ''Spats'' and his live show ''The Alternative Comedy Memorial Society''. Roberts graduated from Cambridge University and studied at the National Youth Theatre. While at Cambridge, he was a finalist in the 2005 BBC New Comedy Awards. In 2006 Roberts wrote and starred in his own radio pilot, ''Spats''. The programme went on to broadcast two series of four episodes each in 2007 and 2008. He has also written for other comedy radio shows, such as ''Act Your Age'', ''The Now Show'' and ''The News Quiz''.〔 Roberts also co-founded the comedy show ''The Alternative Comedy Memorial Society'', along with Thom Tuck. It is currently in residence at the Soho Theatre in London.
